BRB

Hi guys.  I am taking a short break from blogging.  I will be back around Labor Day.  I have been really under the weather and have a full to do list, a really cute baby that is walking everywhere and some other changes on the horizon.  Just need a little bit of time to catch my breath.

Be back soon!

Sorry

Good morning.  Sorry for the lack of a real post.  I am seriously under the weather and fighting my way back.  Here's some inspiration I found on Pinterest to brighten your day.

Back to the Dorm

Have I ever mentioned how much I loved college.  I love love loved it.  I remember moving into my dorm room every year and decorating it.  There are so many more cute things now that I wish I had to stock my tiny little room.  Here are some things I picked out for those heading back to school soon...

Baggu baggies to store everything imaginable from See Jane Work.  Cloud bulletin board from See Jane Work.  Jonathan Adler makes this adorable miniature tools for quick fixes including a hammer, screwdriver and tape measure.  This might be cutest thing ever.  I remember my college had rules about putting holes in the walls and we all just laughed.  I remember my Dad wielding a concrete drill one fall and I of course just filled in the holes with toothpaste before moving out.  :)  Sarah Pinto planners are so super cute especially the union jack.  I love these boxes from SCOUT available at See Jane Work.  Great for files, dirty laundry or just moving in and out.  I could not help but post the precious owl pencil cup from Anthro.

Sigh.  I miss college...

I am in love with Maybooks.  They make these precious personalized notebooks.  You can choose the background, color, monogram and style.  The options are endless.

This is the one I designed.  I haven't ordered yet because I can't pick just one!

Bouquets of Pencils

This time of year always makes me want to buy office supplies.  I absolutely love school and school supplies.  Here are some grown up supplies that I really need....

Pencil cup, desk organizer, file folders and organizer from See Jane Work.  Mousepad and Calendar from Anthro.

The Gold

Ok I know that we are all sick of this poster but I thought this was cute.  I was really sad this weekend when the Olympics were officially over.  I really enjoyed these more than any other before.  London and the rest of the UK did an amazing job.  I was super proud of Team USA and all of the other inspiring athletes.  The Closing Ceremonies were even fun (minus the Spice Girls reunion) and I loved the Eric Idle portion.  I'm sad London isn't hosting again.  Truly a great games in every way.

Did you enjoy the Olympics?  What events did you love?  I love swimming, beach volleyball, synchronized diving and women's gymnastics.

Completely off the subject... I am currently reading the last book in the Hunger Games series, Mockingjay.  I do not like it.... at all.  I really want to stop reading it.  Can I stop reading it and just find some summary online?  Did anyone else not like this book either?  I loved the first one obviously and Catching Fire was even better.  I really have disliked this book.  I'm about 1/4 of the way through.  Can I stop reading it or am I cheating myself if I stop reading?

Happy Week to everyone!

Happy Gifting

I love giving (and receiving) gifts that are unexpected but fabulous.  Here are a few of my favorite gifts to give right now.

I love Jonathan Adler's menagerie pieces as baby gifts.  How awesome are these owl bookends?  that would be a totally unexpected baby gift.  I also love the platinum elephant bank and the giraffe nightlight that are gorgeous and memorable.

I love Petunia Pickle Bottom and their new fall patterns are lovely like this satchel available from Layla Grayce.

The fish rose bowl and zippered pouch are fun gifts from Kate Spade.

I'm craving blues and greens right now.  I think its the end of summer that draws me to darker colors that are still inspired by water.    I loved these blue and green finds.

Favorite Toy?

What was your favorite toy as a child?  What toy do you really remember carrying around with you?

Mine was a cabbage patch kid named Patty.  This weekend we were shopping and I looked over and saw this...

It's Patty!  CBK released Vintage Cabbage Patch Kids and the box said "Commemorating 1983".  It really is Patty!

Just a useless side note but I was shocked to see her sitting on the shelf 29 years later.
